APEC 2017 Start-up Forum opens in HCMC

VGP – The APEC 2017 Start-up Forum, organized by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), officially opened this morning Ho Chi Minh City.

September 12, 2017 6:15 PM GMT+7

The Forum will focus on discussing the issues on supporting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), especially the star-up buisnesses, such as enabling MSMEs to innovate, integrate and access to the global value chains right at their nascent business stage; accelerating the sustainable and environment-friendly socio-economic growth.

As part of the APEC Small and Medium Enterprises’ Ministerial Meeting (SMEMM) and related activities, the event includes plenary sessions and concurrent sessions. Participants and invited speakers are leading experts with tremendous experiences working with start-ups, MSMEs in Viet Nam and in the world.

It also creates an opportunity for APEC member economies to share experiences, ideas and tools to support business start-ups, thereby to form a dynamic and networked APEC Start-ups Community.

Initiatives and the content of the Forum will be discussed to propose a Joint Statement on Promoting Start-ups and MSMEs to be submitted to the SMEs Ministerial Meeting./.
