AI Games III VN – The sports event without cigarettes

VGP – The National Administration of Sports and Physical Culture this afternoon opened a press conference on the ASIAN Indoor Games III (AI Games III) which will be hosted by Việt Nam from October 30 to November 08 under the theme "Sports event without smoking.”

The Games will take place in Hà Nội (opening and closing ceremonies), Hồ Chí Minh City, Hải Phòng, Quảng Ninh, Hải Dương and Bắc Ninh.

AI Games III draws 45 delegations, 5,000 athletes and coaches, 800 referees and technicians, and officials of the Olympic Council of Asia, National Olympic Committees, and international sports organizations.

For ten days, athletes will compete each other in 20 sports, including athletics, swimming, chess, basketball, archery, martial arts, bowling, and e-sports.

Mr. Jean Marc Olivé, Chief Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Nam, stressed that WHO highly praises the organizing board’s statement to make AI Games III a no-smoking event.
