4th Asia Tax Forum opened

The Forum focused on discussing policies, management and tax cost relating to goods of luxury tax, especially spirits, beer, tobacco and other luxuries. According to Deputy Finance Minister Trương Chí Trung, luxury tax is a helpful tool to instruct production and consumption of such goods as spirits, beer and tobacco. For Vietnam, luxury tax in general and excise on spirits, beer, tobacco and automobiles in particular is playing an important role in budget contribution.

At the Forum, the delegates also talked about tax policies on energy and financial services.
