The information was announced on July 27 in Ha Noi at the 4G LTE International Conference 2017 which was jointly hosted by the Viet Nam Internet Association and the Viet Nam International Data Group (IDG).

Under the motto “Diversifying 4G LTW services to bring benefits and efficiency for organizations and customers,” the conference updated and discussed opportunities and challenges in building and developing 4G LTE in Viet Nam.

The event also brought back international experience and introduced scientific management mechanisms and breaking technology solutions to optimize potentials of 4G LTW in Viet Nam.

Last year, the Ministry of Information and Communications permitted 4G trial at 1800 MHz and 2600 MHz. So far, four enterprises namely Viettel, VinaPhone-VNPT, MobiFone and Gmobile were officially granted licenses. Viettel, VinaPhone and MobiFone have officially provided 4G LTE to the domestic market.

Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Hong Hai revealed that the year of 2017 was forecast as a good time for 4G boom in Viet Nam./.
