3rd Hong Kong-Nha Trang yacht race to open this month
VGP – From October 15 to 22, Nha Trang, one of the six most beautiful and attractive beaches on the planet (rated by the U.S. magazine Forbes), will welcome over 250 racers and 20 sloops from different countries to participate in the Third Hong Kong–Nha Trang International Yacht Race.

The biennial race is jointly held by Saigontourist and the Hong Kong Royal Yacht Club.
Under the race rules, three types of yachts will be used: (1) high-speed Keelboat I (8-40 m long); (2) medium-speed Keelboat II with the same length; and (3) medium-speed Ocean Multihulls (10-30 m long).
The race will commence from Hong Kong at 11 AM on October 15 and reach the finish in Nha Trang three days later. They will join a performance race in Nha Trang Beach on October 19.
Saigontourist announced that the two previous Hong Kong–Nha Trang International Yacht Races in 2004 and 2006 impressed contestants with convenience and openness of immigration procedures as well as security conditions. Many international racers showed their eagerness to have nice experience in Nha Trang Bay.
Marine sport tourism is expected to open a new door for introducing and advertising tourist potentialities of Nha Trang to Việt Nam’s international friends.
