36th meeting of Viet Nam-Cuba Inter-Governmental Committee to convene next week

The meeting aims to review the implementation of outcomes of the 35^th meeting, evaluate the bilateral cooperation in 2018 and propose activities for further cooperation in fields of agriculture, industry, health, finance-banking, information technology and communications, irrigation, education, culture, sports and other contents. 

The 35th meeting convened in Ha Noi on October 2, 2017, under the chair of Vietnamese Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha and Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz.

At the meeting, both sides pledged to create favorable conditions to speed up the implementation of investment projects, and discuss cooperation possibilities in potential aspects such as tourism and medical tourism.

A new trade agreement and the protocol on capital disbursement and financial management of the cooperation in rice production development for 2019-2023 were inked on November 11, 2018 on the occasion of resident of the Council of State and Council of Ministers of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez’s official visit to Viet Nam.
