VGP – The 23rd session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opens in Ha Noi on April 10.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the session, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said that eight laws, including the Law on Coast Guards, the Law on Anti-corruption, the law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Amnesty, the Management Law, the Husbandry Law, the Cultivation Law and the Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units will be reviewed. 

The Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Construction, Housing, Urban Development and Rea Estate Business will also be discussed. 

The law and ordinance building program in 2019, the supervision programs of the NA and its Standing Committee and preparations for the fifth meeting of the NA will be debated. 

The legislators will also work on the implementation of regulations on the management and use of State capital at business and equitization of State-owned enterprises in the 2011-2016 phase, the Government’s report on the thrift practice and wastefulness in 2017 and decision on the establishment of administrative boundaries and units under the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong. 

The session is scheduled to last from April 10-17.
