The Việt Nam Business Forum (VBF) 2007 co-organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in the morning of December 4 in Hà Nội. This is a chance for Vietnamese ministries, sectors, businesses and donors to discuss solutions to create a more transparent and stable business environment.

According to a report made by working teams representing foreign businesses in Việt Nam, in 2007, the country’s investment environment has been significantly improved: more open regimes and policies as well as equal treatment were provided to non-State sectors.

At the forum, Minister of Planning and Investment Võ Hồng Phúc and leaders of the ministries listened to reports on seaports, telecommunication, education and training, capital market, taxation, and banking. They also gave answers to many questions from donors and enterprises. Minister Võ Hồng Phúc made the commitment that “Việt Nam has been trying and will do its utmost to improve the business environment and mobilize all internal and external resources for development”.
